The Ohio State Cup 2023 presented by Great Lakes Alliance

Cleveland, Ohio - The Great Lakes Alliance is pleased to present The Ohio State Cup 2023

The Great Lakes Alliance (GLA) was formed in 2017 and currently has over 600 teams participating in its U.S. Club sanctioned leagues. GLA has member clubs coming out of Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia with approximately 10,500 players. GLA is a member of the U.S. Club Soccer National Premier League (NPL) platform and the U.S. Soccer Federation. For additional information, Contact Ed Bernstein at bern@glasoccer.com.

Northern Ohio Preliminary Matches - May 5-7, 2023
Location: Weekend Preliminary Matches - HOF Village, Canton and  Strongsville Soccer Complex, Strongsville,

Tournament Weekends: U9-U12
Northern Ohio Preliminary Matches - May 13 -14, 2023
Location: Preliminary Matches - Lost Nation Sports Park, and Andrews Osborne Academy, Willoughby, Ohio  

Tournament Weekends:  U-9 and U-19
Southern Ohio Preliminary Matches - May 5-7, 2023
Location: Weekend Preliminary Matches – Ankeney Soccer Complex, Dayton, Ohio

Semi-Finals and Finals - ALL AGES - May 20-21, 2023
Location: Semi-Finals and Finals - Darree Fields, Dublin, Ohio
The top 2 teams from the Northern preliminaries and the 2 teams from the Southern Preliminaries
will meet in the Semi-Finals.

Registration Deadline is January  31, 2023.

The Ohio State Cup will offer Both a Super Group Division as well as a Premier Division.

Winners of the U13 and Older Super Group advance to the Super Group Competition of National Cup XXI in Colorado July

Winners of the U13 and Older Premier Group advance to the Premier Group Competition of National Cup XXI Midwest Regional at Waukegan / Libertyville, Ill.  

The Alliance Premier Soccer League pays for entry fee into the Regional event for the Championship teams.

The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the team's selected divisions in order to balance the competitiveness of certain divisions, based on the teams entered. Teams will be notified in advance of such changes.

If there are an insufficient number of teams in a particular division, the tournament reserves the right to play that division as one division in the Super Group. Teams will be notified in the event this is necessary.

Team Eligibility: All U8-U19 teams from Alliance Premier Soccer League as well as all Ohio teams will be all eligible to enter.  You do not have to play in a qualifying league to participate in this open US Club event. 

Teams that are not currently carded with US Club Soccer can easily do so prior to competing in The Ohio State Cup

Format:  Traditional Round Robin play with Championship Games

U8-U10 Teams play 7v7, U11-U12 Teams play 9v9; U13-U19 teams 11v11

Cost:

All 7v7 and 9v9 divisions   $825

All 11v11 divisions              $875
